While working with the Americans\, an IED tore through his convoy injuring his neck and face. In the meantime\, he’s still waiting for the Special Immigrant Visa promised to him years ago. \nSince 2021\, he has lived alone\, separated from his wife and young children by borders and bureaucracy. He cannot legally work. His savings are gone. DESCRIPTION:Recently\, the cost of applying for re-parole to remain in the US legally and be allowed to work\, has increased by $1\,000 per person. We are raising funds to help offset this cost for families that can’t afford to pay. \nOne of our clients\, Serhii came to the US through the Uniting for Ukraine program in November 2022. Yesterday was his 3-year anniversary of coming to the US. While it was a difficult transition\, as he was forced from his hometown in eastern Ukraine after it was destroyed\, he is very grateful to be in America. He shared\, “I have job\, have church and connect with good people.
