Eat, Play, Love: Not Your Average Bible Study…
August 12 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 5:00 pm, repeating until August 15, 2019
On four evenings in August, the community of Saint Mark’s Cathedral will come together to eat, sing, learn, create, and build a beloved community of neighbors. This is an event specifically designed to offer something for everyone, whether a child, teenager, or adult; whether single or partnered; and whichever Sunday morning service they attend. The activities of the four nights explore the question once asked of Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?”, with activities led by the entire clergy team and parishioners from across the cathedral community. Participants will enjoy games, storytelling, communal art projects, engaging with Scripture, sharing life, and enjoying one another. And of course, delicious meals prepared by the cathedral’s skilled kitchen volunteers. Each evening will end with everyone coming together to pray a special service of Compline. August 12, 13, 14, and 15 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Dinner is served at 5:15pm, and the program begins at 5:45pm.
Registration deadline: August 5. Fee: $40 per person (max family $120) includes four delicious dinners and a T-shirt to keep. Scholarships available.
