Fall Women’s Book Club
September 22 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Tuesday, repeating until December 16, 2020
Holy Cross, Redmond:
This fall, join a discussion of “What is religion, what is a belief system, and why do we believe?”
Each week, we will be discussing a different World Religion. There is no one book as a guide; the leader is in the process of gathering a bibliography, so each person can use the tools and time they have available, even if it is looking things up on the web! The most respected and commonly used book is Huston Smith’s The World’s Religions, but they are 80+ page chapters and too much for many. So the plan is to research as there is time and then come to the session to share, discuss and learn from each other’s gleanings.
To keep the discussion-based format, we’re looking for a maximum of eight new participants.
