Honoring The Rev. Canon Jerry Shigaki: 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s
The Rev. Canon Jerry Shigaki, who we lost unexpectedly in October of last year, was the enthusiastic champion of a Seattle Walk to End Alzheimer’s Team that has been fundraising and walking for the last few years. For some, walking with Jerry in 2023 was their last time with him, as he passed several days later.
For Jerry, the walk was in support of his sister, Irene, and he was the largest fundraiser on the 2023 team. In 2024, we’d like to take the torch from Jerry, gathering a bigger team and raising as much as we can to honor his memory while contributing to an organization committed to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s.
