SUMMARY:2026 Camino Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela
DESCRIPTION:September 24\, 2026 – October 4\, 2026 | October 6-16\, 2026 \nCost: $3\,295 – 3\,795 \nA third Camino pilgrimage along the Central Portuguese Way has been added to the 2026 schedule! The dates for this pilgrimage are October 6-16. Pilgrims will walk the ancient path through some of the most beautiful natural areas of Northern Portugal and Galicia\, Spain\, passing through the historical villages and cities of the region including Tui\, Pontevedra\, and Padron. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn more about and experience the culture\, history\, wine\, and food of the region. Trip fee of $3\,295 per person sharing a room includes accommodation\, breakfast\, dinner\, luggage transfer\, three virtual orientation sessions\, wine tastings\, guidebook\, support vehicle\, and on-site guide. Supplemental fee for a single room. \nTwo spots are still available in the September 24-October 2\, 2026 pilgrimage. DESCRIPTION:September 27\, 10:00 am \nChrist Church is celebrating its historic church building’s 100th anniversary this year. The current building\, whose anniversary we are celebrating\, is the second building for this parish founded in the 1850s. The story of its construction conveys a lesson for all parishes struggling with dwindling church membership in today’s world. Come help Christ Church celebrate on September 26 with a festive eucharist done in a manner similar to that which would have been in use in 1926\, and special displays celebrating this momentous anniversary. A reception will follow.

DESCRIPTION:April 19\, 7:00 pm; September 27\, 3:00 pm; November 7\, 3:00 pm; & February 7\, 3:00 pm \nFirst Lutheran Church of West Seattle is pleased to announce Soli Deo Gloria\, a four-part organ concert series from April 2026 to February 2027. \nThis series is in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Gallery Noack Organ at First Lutheran. The Noack Organ takes its inspiration from the great 17th and 18th century organs from Germany and France. This series also honors the memory of Andrew King\, cantor at First Lutheran for 50 years. \nThe attached poster features the dates of the concerts and names the organists for each concert. The concert launching this series will take place on April 19 at 7:00 pm and will feature Nathan Laube\, Professor at the Eastman School of Music and an international performer. Nathan is regarded as one of the world’s finest organists.

DESCRIPTION:Sung at the close of day in Cathedrals and churches throughout the world\, Choral Evensong is a service of Evening Prayer\, derived from the ancient offices of Vespers and Compline. The choir sings the traditional evening prayers of the church that have been offered for centuries\, while the congregation listens\, joins in the hymns\, and adds their own prayers to those of the choir. It is an opportunity for peaceful meditation in the midst of a busy week. \nEvery Sunday at 5:30 pm. \nFollowed by a reception.
