Palmer.\nThe program will include video interviews with the author. \nThis community dialogue welcomes people of diverse backgrounds\, beliefs\, and generations. We will engage conversations about politics in ways that serve the common good. In particular\, we’ll explore 5 Habits of the Heart that we can practice in everyday settings in our families\, neighborhoods\, classrooms\, congregations and workplaces. \n5 Habits of the Heart that make democracy possible:\n-An understanding that we are all in this together\n-An appreciation of the value of “otherness”\n-An ability to hold tension in life-giving ways\n-A sense of personal voice and agency\n-A capacity to create community \n*Rick Jackson\, with Parker Palmer and his wife Marcy\, is a Co-Founder and Senior Fellow of the Center for Courage & Renewal. He teaches\, speaks and consults with leaders\, non-profit and philanthropic organizations on a range of topics\, including strategies to foster long-term civic renewal.
