DESCRIPTION:March 21 & 25 at 6:00 pm \nJoin us for an evening with South African filmmaker Sesihle Manzini\, founder of Anno Domini. \nWe will watch her debut film\, A Piece of Ground\, and explore the theological framework that inspired her work.\ntrailer: https://www.annodominimag.africa/apieceofground \nThrough intimate storytelling and critical reflection\, the film introduces us to the praxis cycle – a framework inspired by Paulo Freire that teaches us that faithful action must flow from reflection\, and reflection from action. By exploring one piece of ground in Cape Town through a few different perspectives\, we learn to see our own spaces differently\, too. We begin to see who has been excluded\, and to recognize that restitution isn’t only about economics. It’s about memory\, physical space\, and reclaiming our agency to understand our immersions in the world so that we can act with compassion and justice. Road Trip’s theme is about how God is always with us\, and the verse of the week is Joshua 1:9 “The LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” \nCost:\nWhole Day 9am-3pm – $30 per Child (VBS and Afternoon Play)\nHalf Day 9am-12:30pm – FREE! (VBS Portion)
