DESCRIPTION:Sung at the close of day in Cathedrals and churches throughout the world\, Choral Evensong is a service of Evening Prayer\, derived from the ancient offices of Vespers and Compline. The choir sings the traditional evening prayers of the church that have been offered for centuries\, while the congregation listens\, joins in the hymns\, and adds their own prayers to those of the choir. It is an opportunity for peaceful meditation in the midst of a busy week. \nEvery Sunday at 5:30 pm. \nFollowed by a reception.

Canon Emily Griffin and Joy Studer\, Licensed Godly Play Trainers \nThrough a collaboration between the Diocese of Olympia and Saint Mark’s Cathedral\, we are pleased to offer a workshop day for all: those who are new to this methodology and those who have been practicing for a long time. Join us for a day of learning\, community building\, and sharing best practices. After a full Godly Play session together\, we’ll offer an introductory track for new storytellers and doorpersons and a second track for those seeking to deepen their practice – with a focus on newer stories (such as the Lord’s Prayer and the Psalms) and tips for engaging older children.
