SUMMARY:Come As You Are Eucharist
DESCRIPTION:Sundays\, 4:30 pm \nThe Come As You Are service is casual and welcoming. While it follows the structure of Anglican liturgy\, it’s designed for those who may have a hard time sitting still\, whether you’re a toddler or an octogenarian. This service creates opportunities for all to participate in worship\, either by moving between prayer stations\, hearing the Gospel told in story form\, engaging in an interactive sermon\, or gathering around the altar. It’s for people who have never been to church before\, and for anyone seeking a place to belong.

SUMMARY:Choral Evensong
DESCRIPTION:Sung at the close of day in Cathedrals and churches throughout the world\, Choral Evensong is a service of Evening Prayer\, derived from the ancient offices of Vespers and Compline. The choir sings the traditional evening prayers of the church that have been offered for centuries\, while the congregation listens\, joins in the hymns\, and adds their own prayers to those of the choir. It is an opportunity for peaceful meditation in the midst of a busy week. \nEvery Sunday at 5:30 pm. \nFollowed by a reception.

SUMMARY:Godly Play in a Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:September 26\, 9:00 am \n\nSt. Nicholas Building of Saint Mark’s Cathedral\nLed by the Rev. Canon Emily Griffin and Joy Studer\, Licensed Godly Play Trainers \nThrough a collaboration between the Diocese of Olympia and Saint Mark’s Cathedral\, we are pleased to offer a workshop day for all: those who are new to this methodology and those who have been practicing for a long time. Join us for a day of learning\, community building\, and sharing best practices. After a full Godly Play session together\, we’ll offer an introductory track for new storytellers and doorpersons and a second track for those seeking to deepen their practice – with a focus on newer stories (such as the Lord’s Prayer and the Psalms) and tips for engaging older children. We’ll conclude the day together with a reflection on children’s spirituality and resources for parents and other caregivers. \nRegistration required: https://bcrook.wufoo.com/forms/zvppc3z1jje11r/\n$35/person includes continental breakfast and lunch. Financial assistance is available.\n*Please note that there is no elevator in the St. Nicholas Building. The event will take place on the 2nd floor. SUMMARY:Celebrating 100 Years
DESCRIPTION:September 27\, 10:00 am \nChrist Church is celebrating its historic church building’s 100th anniversary this year. The current building\, whose anniversary we are celebrating\, is the second building for this parish founded in the 1850s. The story of its construction conveys a lesson for all parishes struggling with dwindling church membership in today’s world. Come help Christ Church celebrate on September 26 with a festive eucharist done in a manner similar to that which would have been in use in 1926\, and special displays celebrating this momentous anniversary. A reception will follow.
