On Good Friday—In word, gesture, and symbol—we enact and embody the meaning of compassion (“suffer with”), not to glorify suffering, but to participate in the healing mystery of Love poured out for us on this “good” day—God’s Friday.
Good Friday includes readings and a sermon, the Veneration of a large wooden cross, and Communion from the Reserved Sacrament.

This 5am liturgy begins with the lighting of the new fire, the procession of the new Paschal Candle, ringing bells alongside the first Alleluia followed by a breakfast.
