DESCRIPTION:July 26\, 2026 \nWe’re going on a Wild Church field trip to Roslyn\, WA! Join members from our diocese as we engage with our friend Brian Sellers-Petersen and his Terra Divina group connected to the Episcopal Church of Roslyn\, a church in the Diocese of Spokane. We’ll join them for their contemplative service outside\, as well as a discussion about their group and the rhythms of their worship. \nAll are welcome to join for church at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Roslyn for service at 9:00 AM where Kim+ McNamara will be presiding and Adrienne Elliott will be preaching. We’ll also do the farmers market in the afternoon before a conversation about the service at 4 pm and Terra Divina at 5 pm. \nHere’s a schedule: \nSaturday\, July 25 [optional]\n\n\n\nTime\nActivity\n\n\nAfternoon (flexible arrival)\nTravel to Roslyn\, settle in\n\n\n5:15 pm\nWalking tour of Church of the Resurrection buildings & grounds\n\n\nBreak\nRest / free time\n\n\n6:00 pm\nDinner at Basecamp Books and Bites with the Terra Divina Circle & Worship and Music Team\n\n\n\nSunday\, July 26\n\n\n\nTime\nActivity\n\n\n9:00 am\nService of Holy Eucharist at Church of the Resurrection — Kim+ officiating\, Adrienne preaching\n\n\nAfter service\nCoffee hour\n\n\nLate morning – early afternoon\nRoslyn Farmers Market — lunch options & live music at the Roslyn Yard\n\n\n4:00 pm\nOptional conversation about Terra Divina’s emergence at Roslyn Pioneer Park\, next to the Creators Law Sculpture (park near 3rd St. & W Washington Ave)\n\n\n5:00 pm\nTerra Divina at Roslyn Pioneer Park: ~45 min\, followed by fellowship. DESCRIPTION:August 14-16 \nJoin the Circles of Color for a rejuvenating weekend at the Sacred Waters Center for Retreat & Restoration! This retreat will focus on connecting\, relaxing\, and worshiping together. There will also be an opportunity for conversation about our Multicultural Ministries 2030 strategic plan\, activities for youth\, plus options to get your hands dirty in the garden or around the grounds (if you want!). \nTo promote an environment of rest and safety for our members of color\, the number of spaces open for Allies’ participation is limited and by invitation only. The 20s/30s Holy Waste of Time will also be happening at Sacred Waters so if you’re a younger BIPOC member and would like to come to both\, we can accommodate that! SUMMARY:Anti-Racism Training
DESCRIPTION:September 26\, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm \nThis one-day training experience is based on “Seeing the Face of God in Each Other: The Antiracism Training Manual of the Episcopal Church.” We will begin with the conviction\, grounded in the Baptismal Covenant\, that we are all children of God who still bear the image of God. From there\, we will learn (or refresh our learning) about the history and teachings of the Episcopal Church regarding race and racism. Participants will analyze the dynamics of power and oppression so that they can engage in the visioning of an alternate reality for the church and society. That vision for us is the creation of the Beloved Community. As we are always in a state of becoming\, this training seeks to help us move along the path of dismantling racism. \nRegistration information will be coming soon!
