Samuel Torvend as we reflect on the spiritual significance of the Lenten practices of fasting\, prayer\, and almsgiving in the midst of much social and political turmoil – and how these ancient practices enable us to engage the real world in which live – with hope. \nThree short reflections are each followed by a period of silence for prayer\, meditation\, writing in one’s journal\, reading\, or taking a meditative walk in the church. Donations are warmly welcomed at the end of the morning but not required.
