Nominations: The Nominations Committee identifies potential candidates for diocese offices, including the Commission on Ministry, Diocesan Council, and Standing Committee. At the 2025 Convention, we will also elect our deputation to the 2027 General Convention. The deadline for submission of nominee information to be included in the convention report is October 1. Resolutions: Convention resolutions are statements that reflect the vision and values of the Diocese on a host of matters from social and justice issues to ministry and business practices. In the Diocese of Olympia, resolutions are adopted through the legislative process. Any member of the Diocese may submit a resolution for consideration by the Convention, and it is recommended that each Convention resolution be submitted with the endorsement of a congregation and/or region/groups of congregations, or the endorsement of a diocesan commission, committee, or program. The canonical deadline for the submission of resolutions is September 9. For more information on submission and how to write resolutions, check out convention document D.1.
