The Longest Night service

December 21, 7:00 – 8:30 pm

On December 21st each year, the Earth’s northern hemisphere
tilts the farthest away from the Sun, creating the shortest day and
longest night. The Sun appears lowest in the sky, and we have the least
amount of light and warmth of any time of the year. Compounding the
physical effects of cold and dark, many people experience emotions that
clash with the “merry and jolly” of seasonal family traditions and
relentless media content.

As in previous years, St. Andrew’s offers The Longest Night: A Service of
Healing and Hope on Saturday, December 21st at 7:00 pm. We hope that
creating sacred space for people living through dark times will remind
you that you are not alone. You are welcome to join us for prayer,
silence, music, and ritual.
