The Rev. Canon Carla Robinson will lead a discussion of the book God Is a Black Woman by Dr. Christena Cleveland, as seen through the lens of pilgrimage. The book itself came out of her journey to see the Black Madonnas of France. In this series we will explore the major themes of Dr. Cleveland’s latest book.

Dr. Cleveland will be visiting the Cathedral in June. This two-part series is intended to help people prepare for the material she will present when she comes to Saint Mark’s. Attendees are asked to view either of the two podcasts (linked on the event website) in which Dr. Cleveland is interviewed, and then to read the book.
