Many in our parish and in our surrounding community are feeling profound anxiety about the election process, the results it will produce (or fail to produce as the case may be), and the possibility of political violence.
To provide support for members of the parish and our neighbors, St. John’s will offer two election-related worship services, space for private prayer, and access to counseling.
Election Day, Tuesday, November 5
3:00 pm: Afternoon prayer service in the Chapel to pray for a safe, orderly, and fair election, unity and healing in our nation.
Post-Election Day, Wednesday, November 6
9:00 am-12:00 pm: “Open Nave/Chapel” for private prayer, devotions, and pastoral/psychological support. St. John’s members Emily Besaw (counselor) and Rev. Jane Rohrer will be on hand with Father Michael in the church to offer space for private prayer and supportive counseling.
12:30 pm: Holy Eucharist and Anointing for Healing in the Chapel.
