In Lent, we are encouraged to come away from our routine, to make space for quiet reflection and for prayer. As Jesus makes his way into the wilderness to pray, we are also invited to step away. Quiet mornings are part of an old tradition to set aside time in particular seasons to listen and search for God. This is intended to be a departure from our regular lives.
This Lent, a Quiet Morning program will be offered Saturday, February 17, from 10 am to noon in the church sanctuary. Printed prayers and handouts for the Stations of the Cross will be available to nurture our sense of the season.
All are invited and light refreshment will be available in the parish hall, hosted by Daughters of the King.
