Plan, Cook, and Eat Great Meals
Hear a short presentation and then join others in a discussion about how to plan and cook meals with the environment in mind. Producing food and getting it from the farm to our table creates nearly a quarter of global greenhouse gasses. By buying local or growing our own food and then using all that we buy rather than wasting it, as well as considering composting, we can reduce the climate impact from our meals tremendously. We will discuss home vegetable gardens, options to buy local food, techniques for buying the right amount and storing it right to reduce wastage, and composting or other alternatives for scraps or other excess. We will share examples from the community and invite participants to share ideas too.
