Stories of Us: Camp Second Chance – Film Screening & Community Conversation on Homelessness

We invite you to view the documentary, Stories of Us: Camp Second Chance, on your own, any time between Friday, November 17 and Sunday, December 3, when we will host a virtual panel discussion and community conversation on the issues surrounding homelessness that the film raises.

Stories of Us: Camp Second Chance (50 minutes) follows director Melinda Raebyne as she embeds herself at one of Seattle’s homeless camps during the winter. The film then follows the stories of camp residents from their first weeks in the camp through their successful progress to independent living.

A follow-up panel discussion and community conversation will take place via Zoom on Sunday, December 3rd at 2:30 PM. The panel will feature: the film’s director (Raebyne); the Diocese of Olympia Missioner for Homeless Ministries, The Rev. Deacon Jeffrey Boyce; the founder of Power of Two which supports unhoused youth, Dakoda Foxx; and musician and advocate for the unhoused, Dain Norman.
