It is a time of transition within our Diocese, and we have a new clergy transition to announce.

We are pleased to announce that The Rev. Kendall Haynes has been called as rector of St. Andrew’s, Seattle, beginning on March 1.

Kendall is a lifelong Episcopalian, who has served the Church as a priest for the past 19 years in congregations both in the Diocese of Chicago and the Diocese of Olympia. He comes to St. Andrew’s after spending the last year and a half as a bi-vocational Supply Priest and Solar Design Consultant with Solterra Solar in Seattle.

Kendall is excited to bring his experience with neighborhood congregational development to Green Lake, with a focus on environmental and social justice. He is joined in this journey with his wife, Beth, and their three sons, Parker, Addison, and Jack. More background information may be found at www.faithseed.net.

Please join us in welcoming The Rev. Haynes to his new role in the Diocese, and keep all congregations experiencing transition in your prayers.

  1. Congratulations, Father Kendall! We at All Saints’ greatly enjoyed your service as a supply pastor with us. BTW, I remember that you have a strong interest in solar panels. I am a board member of Episcopal Retirement Communities, and would be grateful if you can give me any advice about which grants are available for their use in new construction of affordable housing. Best wishes in your new assignment!
