Clergy considering a particular call should schedule a meeting with the Canon Missioner for Transitions, The Ven. David Bishop (dbishop@ecww.org), to learn more about the ministry of our Diocese and congregations, share vocational highlights from their ministry, and discuss their interest in a given call.
After that meeting, clergy should email the following documents to the Canon Missioner:
- A letter addressed to the Call Committee which includes a self-introduction and describes why they feel drawn into discernment around this particular position
- A current resume
- A pdf of the candidate’s current Office of Transition Ministries Portfolio
The Canon to the Ordinary will then do an initial screening of all candidates. The Canon Missioner will then ask interested candidates to schedule a meeting with Bishop LaBelle. That meeting is an opportunity for interested candidates to talk about their interest in a given call and briefly share their vocational background with the bishop. After these are complete, the Canon Missioner will forward names for a given call onto the Search Committee.
