The members of the Commission on Ministry are drawn from all orders of ministry laid out in the Catechism. Members are appointed for three year terms by the Bishop with terms beginning after diocesan convention. The Bishop is the chair of the Commission and appoints a convener to run meetings in his stead. The Secretary for Vocations supports the Commission and is the resource for discerners, clergy, and those in the process toward ordination.

Vision:

In service to the Church and to the world, the Commission on Ministry seeks to engage in sincere discernment, listening to the Holy Spirit and the sacred in each person, helping discerners and ourselves grow spiritually, in pursuit of helping discerners find their place in building the Kingdom of God.

Values:

  • Authenticity
  • Integrity
  • Listening
  • Intentionally anti-racist, inclusion and equity
  • Honest Communication
  • Compassionate Understanding

If you have questions about the process or need materials to apply for postulancy please go to the Vocations resource site.
