Shane Connolly, a world-class floral artist and international leader in sustainable and organic design practices, will headline a lecture, design demonstration, and book signing event at Saint Mark’s Cathedral on September 29, 2023, his only West Coast appearance this year.

Mr. Connolly is an influential role model in sustainable floristry and environmentally-mindful design practices. His artistry is guided by the garden and the seasons, and he brings sustainable values to flower-sourcing practices, client commissions, the floral marketplace, and the horticultural community.

His studio, Shane Connolly & Co., recently designed the Westminster Abbey floral installations for the May 6, 2023, Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, which featured botanicals from local flower farms across the UK and flowers from all five Royal Horticultural Society gardens. For the Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on April 29, 2011, Shane Connolly & Co. designed the bridal bouquet and event florals, installing a tall avenue of hornbeams and field maple trees along the aisles of Westminster Abbey, which were later replanted on the grounds of Highgrove Estate.
