The office of Multicultural Ministries and Community Transformation is pleased to announce that applications for the 2025 Diocese of Olympia Global Mission Grants are now available below. This year, there is $37,000 available with most grants totaling $3,000-$7,500 each.
In order to be considered for the grant, projects must support mission partnerships outside of the United States. The grant committee will use as a guiding principle how well the project aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). Applicants are strongly encouraged to provide a narrative description of the ways this project addresses one or more SDG, with specific reference to goal targets and indicators. The goals, targets, and indicators can be found at: https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/. Note, the grant committee is not necessarily looking for projects that address the largest number of goals, but rather projects that thoughtfully address a specific goal or goals.
Because of the logistical issues that delayed the roll out of the application itself, the deadline for applications has been extended to December 16, 2024. Grants will be awarded in late January-early February. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact The Rev. Carla Robinson or Adrienne Elliott. Thank you.
