One Diocese, One Church, One Day to Worship Together
You made a point of adding 3 names to the Prayers of the People….how about adding some names of those murdered by rioters and looters…there have been many of them but two that come to mind are 77 year old retired police officer David Dorn, or Federal Officer David Underwood, in Oakland
Hi Mark, the Prayers of the People for this service were written and recorded in advance, before the deaths of any protesters and law enforcement occurred. The bishop is aware and is attempting to compile a list of protesters and law enforcement who have died since the protests began which will be added to Prayers at the Town Hall following the service. The two names that you mentioned are on that list.

Would it be possible to have a copy of the the Prayer at the Town Hall with the updated list of people who have lost their lives during the protests. Thanks so much. I shared the service online and included some quotes from the sermon. There was a lot of interest and positive feedback from people with differing viewpoints. The new prayer would be welcomed just as the Prayers of the People were. Thanks

I am just now watching this on 12 June. I was feeling empty and exhausted last night. I needed to hear words of love and hope. I promised myself that I would find this link this morning.
I am so very glad that I did so. I specifically wanted to hear Bishop Greg’s message to our Diocese, to all Christians during these double pandemics.
Sharon and I hung on his words in near tears. We very much needed this.
