Caleb Gomes Resource Assistant Caleb B. Gomes (they/them) has been a resident of Seattle since the summer of 2022. They began working at the Diocese of Olympia in the Office of the Bishop in February of 2024. Throughout their time there, Caleb was able to help contribute to the smooth transition of bishops and is honored to have now joined the staff full-time. In addition to their work within the Diocese, Caleb is deeply involved in the Seattle music community.

The Rt. Rev. Phil LaBelle Bishop Bishop LaBelle previously served as rector of St. Mark’s Church in Southborough, Massachusetts. During this time, Bishop LaBelle co-founded Southborough Neighbors for Peace with Dr. Safdar Medina. This organization has hosted peace vigils, began a community-wide Iftar dinner during Ramadan, established an interfaith Thanksgiving service, and sponsored other bridge-building events. Valerie Reinke Canon Missioner for Faith Formation Valerie comes to the Office of the Bishop from Grace Episcopal Church, Bainbridge Island, where she has spent the last five years coordinating their Children & Families Ministry. She is the author of a curriculum for 2nd- 4th grades, "Storytellers," that uses children's books as a jumping off point for discussing Christian values and scriptural teachings.
