It is a time of transition within our diocese, and we have a new clergy transition to announce. The Rev. Dr. Suzi Robertson has been called to St. Stephen’s, Seattle as Interim Rector, beginning August 22, 2021.
The Rev. Dr. Suzi Robertson previously served in the Diocese of Olympia at the Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in Sammamish from 2009-2015, where she took the church from mission to parish status during her tenure. Bishop Rickel and Rev. Robertson are friends and colleagues from their time in the Diocese of Texas, when they were each rector of a majority minority parish in Austin and Houston, respectively. Most recently Rev. Robertson was the founding priest of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Grandbury TX, where she led the church as they made the discernment to build a new church campus, completed in 2019.
Every church and school she has served has experienced significant growth in both numbers and leadership. She intends for St. Stephen’s, Seattle to be the neighborhood church for the whole region.
Please join us in welcoming the Rev. Dr. Suzi Robertson back to the diocese, and please keep all congregations experiencing clergy leadership transition in your prayers.
