It is a time of transition within our Diocese, and we have a new clergy transition to announce.

Adam Headshot-3

The Rev. Dcn. Adam Conley will return to Seattle and the Diocese of Olympia following his graduation from Sewanee’s residential Master of Divinity program in May and ordination to the priesthood in June. He’s excited that his first call will be as curate at Saint Mark’s Cathedral, beginning July 14, 2025.

Adam’s vocational discernment journey began after college when he moved to the UK for two years to help launch a new urban ministry in a historic London guild church. After a professional career in the retirement and assisted living industry, he again had an opportunity to lead an urban ministry as director of the Seattle Service Corps [Episcopal Service Corps] at Saint Mark’s Cathedral from 2018 to 2022. Adam also supported the Cathedral’s 20s & 30s ministries, served as Saint Mark’s grant writer, and as editor of The Rubric magazine. Adam is forever grateful to his sending parish, St. Paul’s, Seattle, which has played a key role in forming him as a faith leader and a follower of Jesus Christ.

Adam is excited to return to the Pacific Northwest, the place he calls home. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially as an uncle to his three young nephews, Liam, Mikal, and Daniel. He is also grateful for his “found family,” long-term friendships forged during seventeen years as a singer with the Seattle Men’s Chorus. Adam loves music, theatre, travel, boating, reading, and writing, and is wholeheartedly committed to his role as co-parent of the family Mini Bernedoodle, Little Luie.

Please join us in welcoming The Rev. Conley to his new role in the Diocese, and keep all congregations experiencing transition in your prayers.
