It is a time of transition within our Diocese, and we have a new clergy transition to announce.

The Rev. Dr. Jane Maynard has been called as Priest in Charge of Christ Church, Blaine. She will begin on March 15, 2025

Prior to serving in Blaine, Jane has had a varied ministry serving as a hospital chaplain; a pastoral counselor; a Professor of Pastoral Theology and Director of Contextual Education at CDSP; Interim Dean of the Diocesan School of Ministry and Theology in this Diocese; Rector of Christ Church, Tacoma; and interim at seven congregations in three dioceses, most recently at St. Paul’s in Bremerton. Jane is excited to serve in beautiful Blaine with a congregation noted for its varied and faithful service to the residents of the community and for its exquisite sanctuary.

Jane is married to Jim Treyens, a manager for the Cognition and Cortical Dynamics Lab at the Center for Neuroscience at the University of Washington. They share their home with Coco, a three-year-old Havanese who is looking forward to walking on the beaches of Northern Washington, where he has often vacationed. Together, Jane and Jim share three children: Daniel, a passionate whitewater kayaker and fisheries biologist in Bend, OR; Beckie, a specialist in renewable energy and energy efficiency in San Francisco; and Marc, who works as a systems administrator in Seattle.

Please join us in welcoming The Rev. Dr. Maynard to her new role in the Diocese, and keep all congregations experiencing transition in your prayers.
