We have a new transition to announce in the Office of the Bishop and a new clergy transition in our Diocese.

The Rev. Arienne Davison has been named Priest in Charge of St. Paul’s, Bremerton.
We are very grateful to Arienne for her ministry here at our Diocesan Office, in the way in which she supported numerous congregations throughout her tenure, and how she has welcomed Bishop LaBelle during this time of transition. She is a gifted priest, and we trust that she and the people of St. Paul’s will have a fruitful ministry together in the years ahead.
Baptized and ordained in this Diocese, she has served in several congregations and as the Canon for Multicultural Ministries (2011-2017) before accepting the call as Canon to the Ordinary in March 2020. A student and teacher in the field of intercultural ministry, she is also a trainer in the College for Congregational Development network and consultant.
Arienne lives in Bremerton with her family and extended family nearby. In her spare time, she observes the night sky and plays games with friends and family.
You can find a personal message from Arienne below. Please join us in welcoming The Rev. Davison to her new role in our Diocese.
Dear People of the Diocese of Olympia,
It’s been an honor and privilege to serve you these past four years as your Canon to the Ordinary.
This has been a time of great change for me, for our little corner of creation, and in the whole world. I watched us gather in congregations when gathering felt fraught. I saw the way we treat and honor one another’s ministries be transformed as we responded to historical hurt and planned a future together full of possibility. And I see us sent into a world that needs good neighbors – now more than ever.
In the tumult and joy of the Spirit,
The Rev. Arienne Davison
