Please join us in welcoming The Rev. Dianne Andrews, who has been called to serve as interim at St. Barnabas, Bainbridge Island. Dianne will begin that call on July 16, 2025.
Having served as rector of St. Paul’s in Port Townsend for nine years, Dianne enjoyed two years of retirement before feeling the nudge to serve Christ in parish ministry once again. Prior to her move to Port Townsend in 2013, she was the Interim Missioner of the Komo Kulshan Cluster in Skagit Valley which was comprised of St. Paul’s, Mount Vernon, Iglesia Episcopal de la Resurreción, Mount Vernon, Christ Church, Anacortes, Celebration Lutheran, Anacortes, and St. James, Sedro Wooley. Dianne attended seminary at Starr King School for the Ministry and Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California, with advanced studies at Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia. She also completed a year-long chaplain residency program at Penn State’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Before relocating to the Seattle area in 2010, Dianne served congregations in the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and in the Diocese of Pennsylvania.
Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Dianne attended the University of California at Davis, receiving a degree in Textile and Graphic Design with pre-med requirements met. Having worked her way through college as a cardiopulmonary technologist, Dianne used her medical and design experience as a Clinical Training Specialist at Hewlett-Packard in the Boston area, where she was part of the marketing team that introduced HP’s cardiac doppler technology. The draw of parish ministry includes multifaceted opportunities for serving Christ in the church. Through the years, Dianne has enjoyed weaving her love of art, theology, science, service, and pastoral care into her ministry, a vocation that has been blessed many times over.
