Please join us in welcoming The Rev. McKenzi Roberson, who has been called to serve as curate at St. Peter’s, Seattle. McKenzi will begin that call on August 1, 2025.

McKenzi will be returning to serve St. Peter’s, Seattle, this summer after finishing an M.Div. at The School of Theology, Sewanee. In their time at seminary, they served as a chapel sacristan and were the unofficial convener of the Sabbath Committee. Leading up to seminary, McKenzi spent several years working in elder care, facilitating group activities and building relationships with the residents, and in 2022, McKenzi did a year-long internship at St. Peter’s. They spent nearly a decade being formed and raised up for the priesthood by the good people of St. Paul’s, Seattle.

Although McKenzi has fallen in love with Tennessee, as a fourth-generation Pacific Northwesterner, they are looking forward to returning to Seattle: the land of beanies, excellent coffee, and ocean breezes. If McKenzi can’t be found at church or wandering about in the woods or on public transportation, then they are most likely at home under a soft blanket, absorbed in a story. McKenzi has chosen family scattered all across the country that they often go on grand adventures to visit.

Keep McKenzi in your prayers as they prepare to begin their new call, along with all congregations and clergy in transition.
