May 20 through October 1, 2027
The countdown to the 2027 Holy Year in Santiago de Compostela has begun! Walking the Camino during a Holy Year (when St. James’ Feast Day falls on a Sunday) will be a remarkable experience not only because pilgrims will be able to enter the Holy Doors of the Cathedral, but also due to the many cultural and religious events planned along all the Camino routes. Because of the large number of pilgrims expected, planning in advance is essential.
I am offering two Holy Year pilgrimages along the Portuguese Camino—a ten-day pilgrimage May 20-29, 2027 following the traditional Central Way and a twelve-day pilgrimage September 21-October 2, 2027 on the Coastal Way. After arriving in Porto, Portugal, pilgrims will walk through the beautiful natural areas of Northern Portugal and Galicia, Spain, passing through the historical villages and towns of the region. Pilgrims will also have opportunities to learn more about and experience the culture, history, wine, and food of the regions. Trip fee includes accommodation, breakfast, dinner, luggage transfer, orientation sessions, guidebook, wine tastings, support vehicle and on-site guide. Group size is limited to 14 persons, so early sign up is strongly encouraged and registration deadlines are in just few months!
Two information meetings via Zoom are scheduled for March 14 and 15. Registration links are below.
