The Holy Land Justice Committee of St. Andrew’s Seattle invites you to attend a September 20th presentation by author, activist, and academic, The Rev. Dr. Alex Awad. The gathering in the parish hall starts with a potluck at 5:30, followed by our guest’s talk. For 26 years, Rev. Awad with his wife Brenda served as missionaries with the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church in Israel/Palestine. He was the pastor of an international church in East Jerusalem and taught courses at Bethlehem Bible College, where he served as a faculty member, dean of students, and board member. Awad has written Through the Eyes of the Victims and Palestinian Memories, two books which reveal the realities of life under Israeli military occupation, as well as publishing numerous articles calling for justice for both Palestinians and Israelis.
