The most comprehensive training on Godly Play practices and theology, Core Training is recommended for every adult leading Godly Play sessions, but also for administrators, and for clergy.
Over the course of three monthly sessions, participants experience all aspects of the Godly Play method and begin to become fluent in the Godly Play core stories and fundamental practices. Additionally, Godly Play’s guiding “Theology of Childhood” is introduced, so participants become more deeply connected to their work.
Participants can opt for any combination of training days (just one, two, or all three), based on their needs. Each session is $50; scholarships are available (e-mail faithformation@ecww.org).
Our trainer will be the Rev. Emily Griffin, Canon Vicar at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle. Emily has been a Godly Play Trainer since 2007 and also serves as President of the Board of the Godly Play Foundation.
Registration includes continental breakfast, lunch and snacks.
