July 28-31
$350 Registration
Come along for a youth pilgrimage to the Diocese of Hawai’i as we hear their stories of community and immigration history.
Next summer, July 28-31, high school youth (ages 15-18) will have an opportunity to travel to Honolulu, Hawai’i for the Province VIII Youth Pilgrimage. We will be gathering with students from Hawai’i, Taiwan, Arizona, Navajoland, Utah, Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, and Idaho. As part of a three-day pilgrimage, we will be exploring stories of community through two different lenses, the indigenous community of Hawai’i, and their history of immigration. And we will also bring immigration stories from the Diocese of Olympia.
Our guiding scripture is 1 Corinthians 13:12.
“For now we see only a reflection, as in a mirror, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known.”
It will shape the way we prepare for the pilgrimage, journey to Hawai’i, partner with the other pilgrims we meet, and return home.
