The Compline Choir at Saint Mark’s Cathedral is celebrating 70 years this summer. Seventy years ago, Peter Hallock invited twelve men to sing the office of compline; seven years ago, Jason Anderson invited Rebekah Gilmore to form a women’s expression of the Compline Choir. All friends and supporters of the Compline Choir are warmly invited to join in the celebrations.
Enjoy a full day of music beginning with morning worship services, with the Compline Choir women singing at the 9 a.m. service and the Compline Choir men singing at the 11 a.m. service. At 9:30 p.m., both the men and women of the Compline Choir will sing the office in a rare combining of the men’s and women’s voices. This service will also be broadcast on Classical KING (98.1 FM, or king.org).
