At the 2015 Diocesan Convention, we reaffirmed our commitment to support the UN’s development goals (now known as Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs) as criteria for global mission grants. This is consistent with the mission goals of The Episcopal Church and with our baptismal covenant “to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as ourselves.”

As we seek mutual transformation in our global partnerships, we invite your faith community to learn more, get involved, and let us know of the good work springing up in your global community!

The office of Multicultural Ministries and Community Transformation is pleased to announce that applications for the 2026 Diocese of Olympia Global Mission Grants are now available below.

This year, there is $47,725 available with most grants totaling $2,500-$7,500 each.

In order to be considered for the grant, projects must support mission partnerships outside of the United States. The grant committee will use as a guiding principle how well the project aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). Applicants are strongly encouraged to provide a narrative description of the ways this project addresses one or more SDG, with specific reference to goal targets and indicators. The goals, targets, and indicators can be found at: https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/. Note, the grant committee is not necessarily looking for projects that address the largest number of goals, but rather projects that thoughtfully address a specific goal or goals.

For drafting purposes, here is a Word document version of the application. Please submit your application by clicking on the yellow box below.

The deadline for applications is January 15, 2026. Grants will be awarded in mid-March. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact The Rev. Carla Robinson or Adrienne Elliott. Thank you.
