Dear friends, supporters, and customers,
Harbor Roots Farm, the supportive employment program of Chaplains on the Harbor, is BACK for 2021– with vegetables for sale! You can now buy shares for yourself, or buy shares to donate to hungry people in our community.
A lot has happened since our last season: we moved to a permanent farm site on 23 acres in the Chehalis River Valley, we started selling our vegetables at the Aberdeen Farmers Market, and we grew our team of farmers and apprentices (welcome Heather, David, and Jon!). Since COVID hit, we have doubled-down on supplying local feeding programs with our produce and have laid plans to expand what we’re growing. We’ve also grown our supportive employment work, creating more living-wage jobs for young adults who have experienced homelessness and incarceration. We are thrilled to be back in the business of selling shares through our CSA (community-supported agriculture)– sign up for yours today!

What can you expect this season?:
- Lettuce, broccoli, beets, beans, peas, carrots, cucumbers, kale, arugula, melons, onions, peppers, potatoes, radishes, squash, zucchini, pumpkin, chard, garlic, basil, cilantro, and dill!
