Please join us in welcoming the Rev. Alison Leary, who has been called to serve as Curate at Trinity, Seattle. Alison will begin that call on July 1, 2026.

Alison Leary head shot

The Rev. Alison Leary’s call to ordained ministry has been shaped through parish leadership, theological study, and many years of professional work in communications. A key part of this process unfolded at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, where she served as senior warden and helped guide the parish through a clergy transition and the call of a new priest in charge. She has served as seminarian intern at St. Mark’s Cathedral and completed clinical pastoral education at Providence Mount St. Vincent, where she provided chaplaincy care in a long-term care and hospice setting. Through these experiences, her sense of vocation has grown. She looks forward to joining the people of Trinity Episcopal Parish in shared ministry.

Alison has lived in West Seattle for more than 35 years and values the relationships that shape her life as a daughter, mother, grandmother, and partner. She is completing a Master of Divinity at General Theological Seminary, following earlier study at Seattle Pacific Seminary. Alison has spent the bulk of her professional career in higher education communications leadership at Seattle Pacific University. Outside of work and ministry, she plays violin in two chamber music groups, spends time with her grandchildren and her exuberant spaniels, and enjoys the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Keep Alison in your prayers as she prepares to begin her new call, along with all congregations and clergy in transition
