Please join us in welcoming the Rev. Vince Booth, who has been called to serve as Curate at St. John the Baptist, Seattle. Vince will begin that call on July 1, 2026.
I grew up in beautiful Yakima as the third of four siblings and have been living in Seattle since 2014. I studied philosophy at Whitman College and wrote my senior paper on neighborly love. I spent the remainder of my twenties growing food in Nevada City, CA and Walla Walla, WA, and the majority of my thirties serving wonderful meals at Canlis. Early on it was clear it wasn’t just good food I was after, but good meals: a relationship to one’s sustenance and heart-forward fellowship; communion. I started attending Epiphany in 2018 and was baptized in 2019. I have been serving at St. Luke’s in Ballard, as an intern and now as a deacon, while I finish school in the hybrid program at Church Divinity School of the Pacific.
In my free time, I enjoy fixing/breaking our house while listening to the Mariners, admiring the growth of trees we’ve planted, going on long runs around town or in the mountains, swimming in Lake Washington, and making sure our 14-year old dog, Billie, gets all the love she deserves, which is a lot. I married the wonderful Keiko Budech in 2025 and we live in the Hillman City neighborhood of South Seattle.

Keep Vince in your prayers as they prepare to begin their new call, along with all congregations and clergy in transition.
