Friends,
Our Cathedral sits at the center of our Diocese not only as my official cathedral, but also as the place at which we gather for times of celebration and grief, for opportunities of formation and worship, for chances to connect as siblings and friends across our great Diocese. It truly has become a beacon on the hill for both us as Episcopalians and for so many in the wider community.
Saint Mark’s Cathedral is currently engaged in a significant capital campaign: Living Stones II. Through the Living Stones II campaign, the cathedral will become net-carbon zero by the end of the decade, enhance the music ministry both in the current day and for the future, and become more welcoming to both those of us in the Diocese and neighbors from both near and far. You can learn more about this campaign here: saintmarks.org/give/living-stones-ii-capital-campaign/
My wife Melissa and I have made a sacrificial commitment to this important campaign at Saint Mark’s. I am inviting you as either individuals or congregations to consider ways in which you might make a commitment as well. The Cathedral parish has already pledged more than $7.6 million dollars to the this $9 million total campaign. You can invite Dean Steve Thomason to come and speak at your parish to learn more by reaching out to Erik Donner (edonner@saintmarks.org). Additionally, you can make a pledge commitment online: https://bcrook.wufoo.com/forms/living-stones-ii-online-pledge-form/
Many thanks for your prayerful consideration of this important campaign, and for your faithfulness to the work of Christ in Western Washington.
Faithfully,

The Rt. Rev. Philip N. LaBelle
