Bach’s Lunch: Baroque Christmas Music from Latin America

Christ Episcopal Church presents Bach’s Lunch – a series of FREE noontime concerts on the first Tuesday of every month, October through May. Bring your lunch and enjoy these informal concerts in the beautiful historic sanctuary in the heart of the U district. December’s program features acclaimed soprano Danielle Sampson along with GRAMMY (R) award-winner Stephen Stubbs and the Pacific MusicWorks House Band performing seldom-heard Christmas works for soprano, strings, and continuo from 18th century Guatemala, Mexico, Cuba, and Bolivia.

Christmas for a Cause

Kick off your Christmas season by doing good at Christmas for a Cause. From noon-2 p.m. we will have photos with Santa with Photographer Rachel Frichette. Photos are $10 per person and $5 of every photo sold will benefit the Episcopal Relief and Development’s 2017 hurricane season relief efforts. We will also have free Christmas goodies, free kids activities and a chance to learn about St. Nicholas, the saint who inspired Santa.

St. David’s 2-day ‘Holiday Gift Faire and Bake Sale’

St. David’s 2-Day ‘Holiday Gift Faire and Bake Sale’, on Friday Dec. 1 (11 a.m.-4p.m.) and Saturday Dec. 2 (9a.m.-4p.m.) will feature a variety of handcrafted, vintage and holiday gifts, creative treats, yummy baked goods, and a ‘Multi-Gift Raffle’. Browse and shop while listening to holiday music. During the second day of the event, on Saturday Dec. 2, local musicians will provide the holiday music and the winning tickets of the ‘Multi Gift Raffle’ will be drawn at 4 p.m.
