Dear Bishop Melissa: You confirmed me about a year ago. Coming from the American Evangelical community I was dubious about a “lady Bishop”. Once I met you, I knew you were the real thing. A believer who was committed to Christ in your life and vocation. You were, and are, a shining example of what it means to have Christ as your Saviour and your King.
The thing about God’s Kingdom is that He does not rule by force, and He only takes volunteers.
May God richly bless you as you continue on your faith journey, and I know we will “bump” into each other in that country to where we are journeying….if not before.
Blessings,
Lee Armstrong – Christ Church Puyallup
I first met you when I was a member of the first College Of Cong. Development class in the Diocese of Olympia. You were an oustanding teacher, and I have admired you ever since. Thanks for your teaching, your living example as a person of deep faith, and your warm and caring personality. Wishing you many more years of joyful living out your faith.
Pat Stephens, All Saints-Vancouver
Dear Bishop Melissa,
There are many changes and ideas you have implemented that are wise and appropriate for our times. Thank you for you ideas, your spiritual sharing of self, and for your loving and gentle ways. We will miss you.
