Dear Ones,

I was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic bombings in Sri Lanka targeting churches and hotels that occurred today. That it happened during services on Easter Sunday, one of the most important days in our faith tradition, is horrific. More than 200 have died in the attacks and more than 450 are injured. Once more information is available on how we might be able to help, we will share it across our communications channels.

Please join me in praying for Sri Lanka, the victims and their families, and the communities affected by this horrific violence. Pray especially for the people of St. Anthony’s Shrine in Colombo, St. Sebastian’s Church in Negombo, Zion Church in Batticaloa, the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo, the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo, the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo, the community near the Dehiwala Zoo in Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, and the community near Mahawila Gardens in Dematagoda.

God of peace, we remember the 207 individuals who have died in the bombings in Sri Lanka,
Give to the departed eternal rest.
Let light perpetual shine upon them.

Blessings,
+Greg
