The month of April is Earth Month and although we believe caring for God’s Creation should be faithfully lived out every month, focusing on Earth Month can provide some entry points into beginning or deepening your church’s care for Creation! Here are some resources and events to spark your creativity in celebrating the goodness of Creation and getting into concrete and faithful action to protect it.
And don’t forget these upcoming diocesan events:
- 4/5 @ 7:00-8:30 pm: Bringing the Global Local: COP27 and What We Can Do About Climate Change
- Featuring AGU President Lisa Graumlich and our diocesan Climate Justice Missioner John Kydd. Register here.
- 4/11 @ 6:30-7:30 pm: Climate Conversations: Recycling
- Hosted by Saint Mark’s Creation Care Ministry. Register here.
- 4/19 @ 7:00-8:30 pm: Local Climate Action
- Featuring John Kydd and others from the diocesan advisory group. Register here.
- 4/22 @ 10:30 am-2:00 pm: Cathedral Day: Living Water
- This year’s Cathedral Day coincides with Earth Day. The theme of “Living Water” will be reflected in the liturgy and in the day’s activities, which emphasize creation care.
Is your church doing something for Earth Month? Let us know so we can share with the diocesan community!
