Thomas Merton (1915-1968) was one of the most inspiring and influential Christians of the 20th Century. His conversion, monastic vocation, social witness and distinctive voice left an indelible mark on the world. His writings continue to speak, nourishing successive generations of contemplatives, activists, and seekers. The 56th anniversary of Merton’s death will be observed on Tuesday, December 10 at 7 p.m. with a solemn high mass, weaving his eloquent texts into a heartfelt contemplative liturgy with chant and incense. All are welcome.
