On Saturday October 4th at 2:00 pm, please join St. Augustine’s-in-the-Woods, Freeland for their annual celebration of the “Blessing of the Animals” in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, and in honor of his Feast Day and World Animal Day. This special day is for those of us who share our lives with animals, and who seek compassion and justice for all in the more-than-human world. If you are unable to bring your pet (not all animals like to travel or enjoy crowds), please bring a photograph or item that belongs to them to be blessed. A freewill offering of a can or a bag of pet food for needy animals is appreciated. *Please leash or cage your pet.
