St. Andrew’s, Seattle is launching its “Summer of Palestinian Visibility” speaker series on Sunday, June 14, with a presentation by Destiny Magnett of Churches for Middle East Peace. Magnett will talk about how U.S. Christians are mobilizing to advocate human rights and justice for Israelis, Palestinians, and all people of the Middle East. The event occurs in McLachlan Parish Hall at 11:30am following the 10am liturgy.
The following weekend, on Sunday, June 21, the series continues with Dr. Liora Halperin, U.W. professor of International Studies and Distinguished Endowed Chair of Jewish Studies. Prof. Halperin will draw from her expertise in the history of colonization and offer attendees her perspective on current events. This coffee hour talk also occurs in the parish hall at 11:30am.
