The Significance of Lent Amid Political Turmoil

February 21, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Lent Quiet Morning
St Paul’s Episcopal Church | 15 Roy Street Seattle
One entrance only: from the church parking lot
The quiet morning is not live-streamed or recorded.

Join Fr. Samuel Torvend as we reflect on the spiritual significance of the Lenten practices of fasting, prayer, and almsgiving in the midst of much social and political turmoil – and how these ancient practices enable us to engage the real world in which live – with hope.

Three short reflections are each followed by a period of silence for prayer, meditation, writing in one’s journal, reading, or taking a meditative walk in the church. Donations are warmly welcomed at the end of the morning but not required.
