We’re excited to welcome the two newest members of our staff, April Caballero and Josh Hornbeck!
April will be serving as our Convention and Governance Assistant, helping the diocese prepare for Convention in October. She loves event planning and is looking forward to exploring a new platform to process registrations for Convention, as well as getting to know folks from across the diocese.
April has been working with the Diocese of Olympia for the past seven years, most recently as the Operations Manager for the George Center for Community. Her home parish is Church of the Apostles in Fremont.

Josh has joined our team as the new diocesan Communications Director. Josh is thrilled to be coming on board and is looking forward to telling stories from across the diocese, as well as using the wide variety of our communications platforms to deepen connections between our individual parishes, missions, and ministries. He’s also eager to broaden our impact, reaching out into new communities through social media channels.
Josh has most recently been working in the Digital Marketing Department of the Seattle International Film Festival where he aided in the development of a new digital and social media marketing strategy for the 2016 festival and year-round cinema. He was the writer and director of Seattle Pacific University’s touring theatre troupe and has been a freelance writer for a number churches, universities, and nonprofit organizations across the Puget Sound. He has a BA in Theatre and is currently pursuing a MFA in Arts Leadership at Seattle University.
He was married this past December, is an avid reader and film lover, and is passionate about the intersection of faith, art, and social justice.
